I HEART Pillows!

Well, there you have it!
Secret's out!
Now you know where my true love lies:
In pillows! Imagine that!
I love pillows because they make a house feel like a home.
They are soft and cuddly.
They keep you company when skies are gray...

And what says "Home Sweet Pillow"
better than a pillow shaped like a house...???

Well, and then there are numbers.
They can be so happy.
Special favorite numbers.
That remind you of something special.
Like your kids...
Or your your squeeze,

Healthy Energy Drink Recipe

When my friend Esther found out I was suffering form "low energy" she sent me this recipe. I am using it and I think it works!

This is what she wrote:

I have a recommendation for a simple drink that I started using every day in November. It's from Dr. Eric Berg, he's on facebook and also has a website, you can google it. This is the recipe. It really helped my energy levels.

2 Ounces of Pure Cranberry Juice (no added anything)
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp Apple/Cider Vinegar (Bragg brand is best)
6 Ounces of Water

Drink it instead of water, when you are thirsty.

Love ya!!
Esther

It took me a while to figure out where to find Bragg Apple-Cider Vinegar, but I discovered it is sold in the "health" section at Fred Meyer or Smiths.
I am not sure where to find it in your town.
But give it a try and tell me what you think!

Have a terrific day full of energy!

Very Cute Little Baby Sock Coin Purses

Look at how cute these little sock coin purses turned out for little girls!

My daughter is crazy about them and has already claimed the cutest ones.....

Monkey likes them too!

I'm thinking they will be great to put some change in, a little lip-balm, some gun....
Fun little gift for a little girl.

Great for valentines day, don't you think?

My {slightly opinionated} daughter suggested that
felt was the best medium for the flowers.

And she drew the sample picture for the butterfly.....

She knows just what she wants....

I wonder where she gets that....?

Totally Cute Retro "Refrigerator" Magnets

I am so lucky because when we bought our house nine years ago, it came with this totally cute retro oven!!!!! Isn't it so adorable!? Since then we have totally overhauled the kitchen, but the oven stayed! I LOVE that thing! Double oven. SOOOOOO adorable! And it works great actually!
Anyway. So I made some refrigerator magnets.

I used some retro bottle caps and glued magnets to the back. I had to add a little round piece of cardboard first, because the magnet didn't stick out far enough without it and that made the bottle cap stick to the surface too flat and you couldn't get a grip on it to take it off. {Does that make any sense....???}
Anyway! I am so very happy with them!
I made LOTS....
They are so fun!
Heeheehee...
It's the little things that make you smile!

Cute Painted Dresser Drawers

Despite the busyness of the season,
I found time during the Christmas "break" to paint up these drawers....
How did I do it? Where did I find the time?
Easy!!!

I just omitted doing dishes, vacuuming, and that kind of stuff.....!!!!

After all, what is more important, right?

Being creative with paintbrushes
and fun bright colors during the dark winter months,
or having a spotless house.....?????
Well, I am kidding a little bit.
I did clean somewhat
and took plenty of time
to enjoy spending time with my kiddos!

But the dresser turned out very cheerful and bright,

which is just how I like it this time of year!

Did you notice the hummingbird nest?
Mr. Right brought it home from his last horseback riding trip.
He knew I would love it!
And he was right!
Of course!

I have to do a few touch-ups still,
because I got side-tracked doing other things,
but I will finish this project soon, and post more pics!
Have a happy day!

More Fun Upcylced Onion Sack Creative Ideas

Prosser Washington is home of some fabulous onions...
and wonderful farming families who grow those fabulous onions.
And they are kind enough to let me play with some of their onion sacks...
Thus these fun things I've been able to come up with!
bows, pins, bags, backpacks, make-up baggies...
Yes, this rosette flower is really purple, not blue, but oh well.
It looks good in blue too....
I think....
hahaha...

Let your eyes enjoy the feast!!!
{Good times!}

Teacher Christmas Pillow Gifts

My daughter came to me with a very specific request on what she wanted to give her teacher for Christmas:
A house pillow with a number '30' on it.
{representing the number of kids in her class}
She even gave me the dimensions...!!!

Well, I thought it was a brilliant idea, so after finding out what the noteworhty teacher's favorite color was {sage} we made the pillow for her.....
And the other child decided his teacher would like one too....

With the number 6 to represent what grade she teaches... And her favorite color was purple.... Fun times!
Kids are fun!

Hope the teachers like their pillows!

The Perfect Recycled Gift for the TRUE Recycler at Heart

Thought I would update you on the thank you gifts for the teachers of the children in our household:

This is what my son's teacher actually ended up with as thank you gift at the end of the school year.

My son adores the Crystelle Handbags {it's fun to have kids who support their mom.....} But for his teacher he wanted me to make something special: Instead of a Crystelle Handbags original {a handbag made of a genuine Idaho Famous Potato Sack}, he opted to give her something that represented "green" living even more, as she LOVES to reduce, reuse, and recycle.....

Cute Yellow Interior of recycled banner bag

He wanted to thank his teacher for the module she taught on recycling, so he insisted I make her a black and white bag out of a re-purposed billboard banner....

I must agree. He did a good job choosing: it is the perfect recycling gift...

Wow! What a FUN Large BAG!!!!

I really like the way this glam recycled bag turned out. It is BIG (teachers are notorious for carrying around a LOT of things....) and fun.

The interior has YELLOW pockets which are fun and spunky.
